ICRI 2022 Spring Convention

From April 4-6, 2022, the International Concrete Repair Institute’s (ICRI) annual Spring Convention was held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.  The convention provided an opportunity for repair and restoration professionals of all levels to expand their understanding of concrete repair, protection, and restoration.  This year’s theme focused on “Weather – Its Impact on Concrete and Construction,” featuring technical sessions, committee meetings, an exhibit hall, and other networking and social events. 

As representatives of ICRI's Baltimore-Washington Chapter, SK&A’s Repair & Restoration Division sent a team of five ICRI members to attend the convention.

  • David Rodler, a Senior Principal with SK&A, is a co-chair of the Evaluation Committee, an ICRI Fellow and a current member of ICRI's Publications and Guide Specifications Committees, and past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.  He also served two terms on the ICRI National Board of Directors, and the ICRI TAC Committee.
  • Charles Mitchell, Director of Testing and Inspection with SK&A, a co-chair of Committee 210 – Evaluation and current member of Committee 310 (Surface Preparation), Committee 320 (Concrete Repair Materials and Methods), and Committee 710 (Coatings and Waterproofing).
  • Horace Willis, a Senior Associate with SK&A, is a current member of the Guide Specifications Committee, Education Committee, and past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.
  • Justin Long, A Senior Project Manager with SK&A, is the current ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter President, Former Vice President of ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter, and recipient of ICRI’s 40 Under 40 Awards in 2020.
  • Ammar Motorwala, an Assistant Project Manager with SK&A, is a voting member on ICRI Committee 330 – Strengthening and Stabilization.
