The building enclosure – comprised of waterproofing systems, exterior wall assemblies, fenestrations, and roofs – collectively protects the building structure and interior environment from water infiltration and moisture-related issues, while maintaining a comfortable and energy-efficient environment. SK&A’s Building Enclosure + Waterproofing team brings decades of experience and specialized technical expertise to aid in the design and construction of new buildings, as well as the evaluation and maintenance of existing buildings. Coupled with our field inspection, functional testing, and other specialized capabilities, SK&A offers Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) services aimed at verifying the design, construction, and functional performance of the building enclosure meet the Owner’s requirements and performance standards.
