SK&A joined DC Mayor Muriel Bowser for the groundbreaking of the Joy Evans Therapeutic Recreation Center in Southeast DC. This new facility, consisting of 37,000 SF on over 7.5 acres of land, will be the premier therapeutic recreation center in the region and will serve those of all ages and along the full spectrum of physical and cognitive abilities.
SK&A Structural Engineers has been working together with DLR Group and Smoot Construction on this $40.4 Million project which is slated to open in the summer of 2023. The DC Department of General Services and DC Department of Parks and Recreation prioritized hiring local DC businesses to perform the work on this Ward 7 project. As a DC CBE, SK&A is looking forward to continuing to work alongside other DC businesses towards the successful completion of this new and improved community resource.
