The International Concrete Repair Institute’s (ICRI) 2015 Spring Convention was held at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York, NY. This year’s theme focused on “High-Rise Repairs” with presentations on topics such as exterior rehabilitation, balcony repairs, façade revival, and strengthening. The convention provides a rare opportunity for repair and restoration professionals from around the country to share their knowledge and experience with their peers.
As representatives of ICRI's Baltimore-Washington Chapter, SK&A's Repair & Restoration Division sent a team of four ICRI members to to attend the convention.
- David Rodler, a Senior Principal with SK&A, is a current member of ICRI's Publications and Guide Specifications Committees, Committee 150 (ICRI Notes on ACI 562 Code Requirements), and also serves as secretary of the Evaluations Committee and Nominations Committee.
- Charles Mitchell, Vice President of SK&A affiliate, Eastern Testing & Inspection (ETI), is a current member of Committee 150 (ICRI Notes on ACI 562 Code Requirements), Committee 310 (Surface Preparation), and Committee 710 (Coatings and Waterproofing).
- Horace Willis, a Senior Associate with SK&A, is a current member of the Guide Specifications Committee and past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.
- Oscar Valenzuela, a Project Manager with SK&A, is a current advisory board member of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter and has served as a past president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.
