Senior Principal

Dave Rodler, PE joined SK&A in 1989 and is Principal-in-Charge of SK&A’s Structural Repair and Restoration Division based in Potomac, MD, which also includes Testing & Inspection services.  Dave supervises repair, renovation and restoration of masonry facades, garage structures, balconies, plaza decks, and structural steel components. He also provides consultation and technical support for carbon-fiber strengthening of existing structures, waterproofing, preventive maintenance and cost estimating. He additionally administers the quality assurance activities of SK&A’s repair, renovation and restoration projects.

David has been active in the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) since 1990, serving on the Baltimore-Washington Chapter Board of Directors.  Following his term as President of the chapter, he became active on the National level. He served two terms on the National Board, chaired the Guide Specifications Committee for six years, and was the Publications Committee Chair during that time. He is currently serving a second term on the Technical Activities Committee (TAC) and continues as secretary of the Evaluation Committee. He was named an ICRI Fellow in 2013. Dave received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tulane School of Engineering in 1986 and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. He also is a licensed Professional Engineer within Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware as well as nationally through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
