Our annual Thanksgiving International Potluck has become a beloved SK&A tradition, bringing our team together for an afternoon of delicious food, shared laughter, and holiday cheer. This year’s potluck featured a diverse array of dishes representing the rich cultural backgrounds of our staff, with flavors from the Philippines, Russia, Sierra Leone, Italy, Poland, India, and various regions of the USA.
Some of the standout dishes included “Herring Under the Fur Coat” (a vibrant Russian layered salad), peanut butter soup from Sierra Leone, Pancit from the Philippines, Pizzelle cookies from Italy, Indian Paneer Puffs, Lebanese Kibbeh (spiced meat with bulgar wheat), Dolma stuffed peppers from Iran, Peruvian Chicken, Afghan Skewers, and Colombian Arroz con Leche! We also enjoyed classic American favorites like BBQ brisket, corn muffin casserole, and apple pie.
The potluck celebrated our team’s culinary talents and highlighted the diversity and camaraderie that make SK&A such a special workplace. It was an afternoon well spent—though returning to work (rather than taking a nap) after such a feast was a challenge!
