Justin Long Elected as President of ICRI BW Chapter

SK&A Project Manager, Justin Long, PE, RWC, REWC, BECxP was recently elected as President of the International Concrete Repair Institute’s (ICRI) Baltimore/Washington Chapter.  Justin will begin his one-year term as chapter President beginning in January 2022.  His responsibilities will include serving as the principal elective officer and spokesman of the organization, presiding over board meetings, coordinating with the National ICRI organization, and leading the board in the performance of its responsibilities.  Justin previously served a one-year term as Vice President from 2020-2021 and was on the chapter’s Board of Directors from 2015 to 2019.  He was also a recipient of ICRI’s 40 Under 40 Awards in 2020. 

Justin is a member of SK&A’s Structural Repair and Restoration Division and has been with SK&A for over nine years.  His experience transcends all types of repair and restoration work, including: building envelope/enclosure commissioning, hygrothermal analysis (WUFI®), waterproofing consulting and repairs, building façade repairs, historical renovations and due diligence and damage related assessments.  His building enclosure experience is extensive and includes countless exterior façade condition assessments and building envelope repair projects, consulting on various new building enclosure design projects, performing hygrothermal analysis, and verifying field performance through testing of building enclosure elements.  Justin also oversees SK&A’s industrial rope access operations, which facilitates close-up evaluations and condition assessments of difficult to access façades and building elements.

Some of his notable projects include the Montgomery County Executive Office Building Plaza Renovation in Rockville, MD, the Transpotomac Canal Center Plaza Renovation in Alexandria, VA, the Norwegian Embassy Building Renovation Building Enclosure Services and Hygrothermal Analysis Studies in Washington, DC, and the Tucker Ice Rink Building Envelope Commissioning, Fort Washington, MD.
