We are delighted to share this special feature from the Structural Engineers Association – Metropolitan Washington (SEA-MW) chapter, highlighting Ammar Motorwala, PE.
Ammar is a Project Manager with SK&A’s Repair + Restoration group. SK&A staff have long been supporters of and active participants in SEA-MW. We are very proud of Ammar for carrying on that legacy through his service this year as the Chair for the SEAMW Younger Members Board of Coordinators.

We are thrilled to introduce Ammar Motorwala, PE, as our June member highlight! Ammar has taken on the role of Chair for the SEAMW Younger Members Board of Coordinators for 2023-2024, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board.
Ammar is a proud Hokie, having graduated from Virginia Tech, and he currently serves as a Project Manager at SK&A Structural Engineers. His expertise lies in existing building structures, and he has successfully contributed to various projects involving structural investigations, renovations, expansions, and repairs.
In addition to his role with the #SEAMWYMG Board, Ammar is actively involved in other professional committees. He serves on the #ASCE 7 Wind Loads Sub-committee and ICRI’s Strengthening and Stabilization Committee (Committee 330), demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of #structuralengineering.
Beyond his passion for structural engineering, Ammar enjoys spending time outdoors. You can often find him sailing, hiking or mountain biking on the local trails.
