VERVE College Station

VERVE College Station is a high-rise student housing development located in the Northgate Entertainment District, steps from Texas A&M University. The 21-story project comprises approximately 824,057 sf of residential space, delivering 392 units and 1,193 beds in studio through five-bedroom layouts, along with 930 parking spaces. The community features a comprehensive amenity program designed to support academic, wellness, and social engagement, including indoor and outdoor study areas, fitness facilities, lounges, and resort-style pools.

The project site is underlain by expansive clay soils, which were a key consideration in the ground floor slab design. To minimize the extent of undercutting required, the ground floor slab-on-grade was designed as a structural two-way slab supported on void forms. This system provides a void space beneath the slab to accommodate potential subgrade soil expansion and mitigate the transfer of uplift forces to the slab. Deep foundations are also utilized to support the building columns and shear walls.
