With the concrete bottom-out complete, the Verve Charlottesville team has set the foundation for vertical construction. This student housing community being built beside the University of Virginia will bring 1,332 beds across 463 units to 100 Stadium Road.
Developed by Subtext with John Moriarty & Associates as general contractor and ESG Architecture & Design as architect, the project totals roughly 729,000 square feet and is targeting delivery in 2027. SK&A is serving as Structural Engineer of Record alongside Timmons Group (civil) and AJC Design (interiors).
Our structural design centers on a cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete system that manages the site’s significant slope while accommodating three levels of below-grade parking. Beyond its scale and engineering, Verve is programmed to elevate student living with a two-story fitness and wellness center, outdoor fitness lawn, makerspace, multi-sport game simulator, study lounges, club room, and a pool terrace.
