As Florida enforces Milestone Inspections for aging buildings, property owners must ensure their structures meet safety and compliance standards. These inspections, required for buildings 30+ years old, assess structural integrity and identify potential deterioration. Learn more about Florida Milestone Inspections.
When The Chateau at Boca Grove, pictured above, received its Phase I Milestone Inspection notice, SK&A was retained to perform a thorough evaluation of the building’s structure, parking garage, façade, balconies, and roof. Our team also reviewed original construction documents and past assessments, ultimately confirming that a Phase II Milestone Inspection was not required due to the lack of substantial deterioration. By delivering a thorough, timely report, we helped the condominium association meet Palm Beach County’s requirements with confidence.
With increasing demand for Milestone Inspections, SK&A is expanding our availability to support more Florida communities. As such, we will be at the Broward County Condo & HOA Expo on February 18, 2025, where we’ll be sharing insights on inspection requirements and helping property managers, HOAs, and owners prepare for compliance.
