Monument Realty is planning a development with two new 11-story towers just a block from the Chinatown Metro Station.
The tower on Eye Street NW is slated to include 72 apartments and ground-floor retail. The tower on H Street NW is slated to include another 160 residential units. A 92-space underground garage would serve both towers. The design team for the new towers includes Hickok Cole architects, DCS Design, and SK&A Structural Engineers.
The H Street project had originally been envisioned as office space, but Monument shifted to residential as market demands changed. The half-acre mid-block site includes several historic structures which Monument is working to incorporate into the development.
