Karan Gowda, PE is a Structural Engineer with SK&A’s Repair + Restoration group in our Potomac, MD office. Over the past five years, he has made valuable contributions to a number of projects, including:
- 900 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Façade Construction Administration Services in Washington, DC
- Polk & Taylor Garage Condition Survey in Arlington, VA
- Constitution Center Roof Overhang Repairs in Washington, DC
Karan grew up in the developing city of Mysore in South India, where he developed a lifelong fascination with the construction of large infrastructure projects. His curiosity about how massive structures were supported ignited a passion for structural engineering.
Karan pursued his passion academically, earning a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the University of South Florida in 2018. He then went on to obtain a second Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of the Cumberlands in 2022. Further adding to his credentials, Karan recently earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in March of this year.
