Located in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle neighborhood, the 22-story St. Elmo tower just reached a major milestone! The project broke ground on February 1, 2022. Then followed 13 months of excavation for the 4-story below-grade garage, and an additional 9 months of construction with 27 elevated slab pours. Then, just last week, the roof was poured, officially Topping Out the building! SK&A joined Maurice Walters Architect, Inc., Developer Duball, Inc., and GC HITT Contracting for the celebration.
Situated between St. Elmo Ave. and Fairmont Ave., this multifamily building will feature 276 apartment units, as well as ground-floor retail and underground parking. There will be a fitness center on the mezzanine level and a rooftop pool. We applaud the entire project team for their efforts in reaching this milestone and recognize the following SK&A Structural Engineers’ team members who have contributed to this project’s success: Seth Rogge, PE, SE, Macenzie Smith, PE, SE, and Zachary Shugart, EIT.
