Each year, the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) Metro Washington and Virginia chapters present Excellence in Construction awards to recognize and celebrate outstanding projects in the region. This year, 150 projects were submitted for consideration and evaluated by a large panel of industry experts, including architects, owners, government officials, and other industry leaders around the Washington metro area. President of ABC Metro Washington chapter, Daniel Bond, states “Projects were judged based on complexity, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, cost and safety.” Patrick Dean, the President of the ABC Virginia chapter, continues, “These winning projects highlight and honor the extraordinary teamwork between general contractors, architects and engineers, specialty contractors and material suppliers.”
