On October 5, 2023, Carmel Partners threw the Topping Out party for the Cotton Annex Redevelopment in Washington, DC. SK&A joined Carmel and Design Collective for the celebration.
Located at 300 12th Street SW, this historic building, originally constructed in 1936, once housed the Department of Agriculture. After having sat vacant for some time, this redevelopment is transforming the Office/Warehouse site into a 564-unit residential development, through the adaptive reuse of the historic structure, together with the new construction of an adjacent 13-story tower. Both SK&A’s Design and Repair + Restoration Divisions have worked on this transformative project.
