Carroll County Career & Technology Center
Originally constructed in 1969, the Carroll County Career and Technology Center is a specialized vocational high school, with over 850 students and 23 career-oriented programs. The project included 108,000 sf of new construction and 83,000 sf of renovation. Construction was conducted over six phases, in order to modernize the building while continuing to serve students.
The new construction included three additions, with the largest providing three floors of classroom, laboratory, office, and dining spaces serving programs such as automotive mechanics, technology, cosmetology, nursing, culinary arts, digital arts, and fashion. A smaller addition provided a heavy equipment shop and classroom. The final addition serves the carpentry and building construction program with spaces for masonry construction and carpentry classrooms. The renovated spaces were reconfigured for additional programs including collision repair technology, machine technology, welding, HVAC, and electrical.
