A new student housing development is coming to College Station, Texas. Rising 21 stories above the vibrant Northgate Entertainment District, VERVE College Station is part of a transformative two-phase, 1,738-bed development designed to support the academic, social, and wellness needs of Texas A&M students.
Developed by Subtext in partnership with Larson Capital Management, VERVE is designed by ESG Architecture & Design to offer a lifestyle-forward living experience just steps from campus. Once complete, the community will include 1,193 beds across 382 units, with layouts ranging from studios to five-bedroom apartments. A mix of retail, parking, and amenity spaces are seamlessly integrated throughout the 818,000+ square foot building, culminating in sweeping views and shared amenity space on the 21st floor.
Designed with purpose, VERVE emphasizes both personal growth and connection—offering students access to curated indoor and outdoor spaces for study, wellness, and social engagement. Fitness centers, collaborative lounges, mindfulness suites, sky lounges, resort-style pools, and more create a community environment that supports today’s students.
The first phase of the new development is scheduled to begin construction in Summer 2025, with delivery anticipated for VERVE in 2028.
Supporting Student Success Through Design
Located at 311 Stasney Street, VERVE is one of two distinct communities in Subtext’s College Station development. With the EVER building to occupy the site across the street, VERVE offers a unique high-rise living option tailored to Texas A&M’s growing student population and the increasing demand for experience-rich, wellness-oriented housing.
The VERVE project team includes ESG Architecture & Design (Architecture & Interiors), Emanuelson-Podas (MEP), Quiddity (Civil), Ironwood Design Group (Landscape), Hoar Construction (General Contractor), and SK&A Structural Engineers (Structural Design.)
SK&A brings specialized structural engineering expertise to student housing projects across the country, with a portfolio that includes high-rise and mid-rise communities for institutions such as the University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the University of Maryland College Park. That experience supports our work on VERVE College Station, where we’re contributing to a next-generation living environment for Texas A&M students.
