SK&A Providing Volunteer Services for Children’s Center in Haiti

September 1, 2016

SK&A’s Repair & Restoration Division will be providing volunteer professional services for The William Jefferson Clinton Children’s Center in Port au Prince, Haiti.  Led by Associate, Cindy Garman, SK&A will be working alongside The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and architectural firm, HOK, in their efforts to build the first ever LEED-certified orphanage and children’s center in Haiti.  SK&A’s scope of volunteer services will include review and preparation of the roofing and waterproofing details, modifications, and specifications for the building.

The new children’s center replaces a previous orphanage that was destroyed by the devastating earthquake in 2010, and will provide a pathway to adoption for the orphaned children.
