The Benjamin Banneker Academic High School project was awarded the 2022 Learning By Design magazine Grand Prize for New Construction of an Entire School/Campus Building. SK&A Structural Engineers provided the structural design and analysis for this 175,000 square foot, $135 million project. The Learning by Design jury commented that the school “connects itself to the city, invites, and becomes part of the urban fabric from inside and outside.”
