SK&A recently had the privilege of joining our project partners in presenting “The Wharf” as part of a training and walking tour for a group of GSA personnel. The event offered a comprehensive look at this transformative mixed-use development along the historic Washington Channel.
During the presentation, Hoffman & Associates provided a history of The Wharf and a project overview, Perkins Eastman shared architectural insights and sustainability features, and SK&A team members Nima Arjomandnia and Hakan Onel highlighted the technical challenges of the project, including the complexities of construction near WMATA tunnels and the Washington Channel. These insights provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the architectural innovations and structural engineering solutions behind this landmark development.
Following the presentations, the group embarked on a walking tour of The Wharf, experiencing firsthand its thoughtfully integrated mix of residential, office, retail, hotel, and cultural spaces, as well as its public waterfront amenities.
We are proud to have contributed to the success of this project and to share our expertise with the GSA team. For more information about The Wharf, visit our project page
