The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Headquarters Renovation project is featured in AIA’s Architecture DC Fall 2023 magazine, in the edition titled “Exemplary Design. Award-Winning Projects for 2023.” The article begins by noting how “USGBC – the organization that developed and administers the widely used LEED certification system – couldn’t just talk the talk.” The design team aimed to select materials that had a low embodied carbon impact and that reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
