The Zoe and Valen

The Zoe and Valen are a pair of multifamily towers in the National Landing community featuring luxury apartment units, vibrant retail spaces, and exclusive amenities with a shared garage space underground. Through both buildings’ superstructures, they offer well-designed apartment units, state-of-the-art gyms, outdoor terrace spaces with distinctive landscaping features, as well as rooftop lounges and pools.

Full demolition of an existing structure and partial demolition of the foundation were completed before the new construction. Challenging conditions across the project site and unique building geometries required solutions with innovative design concepts. Both buildings include transfer structures highlighting their complexities. The Valen features a cantilever slab on the fifth floor with creative use of both bonded post-tensioning and unbonded ones. Inside the Zoe building, ground-level transfer girders achieve the most economic designs by leveraging its unique column layout.
