Zifan Ye, EIT is a Structural Engineer I with the Design group in our Potomac, MD office. In just a year’s time, he has already made valuable contributions on several projects, including:
- 5500 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase, MD
- Columbian Quarter Parcels 3 and 4 in Washington, DC
- Macy’s Ballroom Phase I in Arlington, VA
Zifan came to us from Virginia Tech, where he completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in structural engineering, Zifan replied that “structural engineering brings a sense of accomplishment, as the buildings that we help design are a physical and direct validation of our work and our efforts.” He added that “as someone who wants to make a positive impact in the world, structural engineering is very applicable, as our work can directly impact people’s lives for the better and helps to shape the world around us.”
