Saurav Gokhale, EIT is a Structural Engineer II with the Design group in our Potomac, MD office. In just a year’s time, he has already made valuable contributions on several projects, including:
- 1100 South Capitol Street SE in Washington, DC
- Paramount North in Gaithersburg, MD
- SIC Buzzard Point Phase I in Washington, DC
Saurav grew up in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and then moved to America to attend North Carolina State University, where he earned his Master of Civil Engineering degree.
Saurav’s father is also a structural engineer, which provided him an early familiarity with the industry. Prior to coming to the United States, Saurav worked on commercial and high-rise building design projects in India, including one 10-story hotel that he recalls being a particularly exciting challenge because of its unique design. After earning his master’s degree at North Carolina State University, Saurav also worked at a structural engineering firm in Charlotte, NC where he designed multi-family residential buildings. Saurav’s family still lives in India, and he enjoys visiting them as often as he can. Saurav also enjoys outdoor sports, like soccer and cricket, as well as reading books and listening to music.
