Celebrating Adam’s 25 Years with SK&A

May 31, 2024

Abdelgadir Adam is a Project Manager with SK&A’s Repair + Restoration Division in our Potomac, MD office. Over the past twenty-five years, he has made valuable contributions to a number of projects, including:

  • Washington Commanders Field in Landover, MD
  • AOC – US Botanic Garden Façade Repairs & Roof Replacement in Washington, DC
  • The New U.S. Embassy Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea
  • Elizabeth House III – Construction Monitoring in Silver Spring, MD
  • HHS Parklawn Building in Rockville, MD

Adam grew up in Sudan and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum. He speaks both Arabic and English and gives back to the community through his volunteerism with the SACDO (Sudanese American Community Development Center). He and his wife have four children, two boys and two girls.

“It has been a pleasure to work alongside Adam these past twenty-five years.  You can see from his resume that Adam has an extensive list of certifications and training (too many to list here) that reflect how Adam has become a true expert in so many aspects of structural testing and inspection.  Beyond his technical expertise, my favorite parts of working with Adam these many years include his kind and friendly personality, his can-do attitude toward any challenge given to him, and his consistent willingness to help his co-workers when there is need for support.  Adam has endured many changes in our Testing & Inspection line of services over the years and always remains loyal, flexible, and open to learning new things.  We have shared many stories in recent years regarding watching our kids go off to (and come back from) college and becoming young adults and I know Adam is a dedicated and successful family man in addition to being a great co-worker.”

“Abdelgadir Adam is not only a valued colleague, but also a good friend! I’ve worked with Adam for almost 18 years and what makes him particularly special is his consistency. In my view, the best ability is availability, and Adam has always been ready, willing, and able to provide his services and insight on all projects. He is very conscientious, thorough, and is committed to performing all aspects of testing and inspection services. His experience and knowledge of how structures are put together are invaluable and lead to the overall success of our testing and inspections projects. Adam understands the complexities involved in new ground-up structural construction, and structural repair projects, which enable him to provide clear and efficient delivery of testing and inspection services. It has been my pleasure to work with him all these years, and I look forward to continuing our professional and personal collaboration! Congratulations on this momentous milestone, Adam!”
