Celebrating 35 Years
With Gino Biagioni, Jr.

July 31, 2025

For three‑and‑a‑half decades, Gino has been the steady hand guiding SK&A’s transition from vellum to virtual. He has kept pace with every new wave of drafting technology: first ARRIS, then AutoCAD, and now Revit, mastering each as it became the industry standard. As our BIM/CAD Manager, he leads our drafting and modeling team and keeps our company‑wide drafting standards aligned.

Gino’s fingerprints appear on an impressive range of projects. A few standouts include:

  • Fusion Building, Howard University Wonder Plaza – Washington, DC
Nine‑story, 430 K SF redevelopment that blends new student housing, dining, retail, and wellness spaces with preserved historic bakery façades.
  • Kinetic and Momentum Midtown – Atlanta, GA
Twin 35‑ and 37‑story towers delivering student and market‑rate housing atop a nine‑level parking podium and amenity deck.
  • Portals IV – Southwest DC
356‑unit luxury apartment tower that will complete the three‑million‑square‑foot Portals mixed‑use waterfront complex overlooking the Tidal Basin.
  • C. Bilingual Public Charter School – Washington, DC
27 K SF addition expanding arts, science, and technology spaces and energizing enrollment at the modernized campus.
  • Bard High School Early College – Washington, DC
    115 K SF renovation‑plus‑addition transforming a former elementary school into a LEED‑targeted 21st‑century learning environment.

Away from redlines and drafting coordination, you may find him assembling intricate LEGO builds or immersed in political history, hobbies that reflect his eye for detail and his appreciation of the bigger picture.

We congratulate Gino for 35 years of technical excellence, quiet leadership, and an unfailing commitment to getting every line (literal and figurative) just right.
