Downtown Crown

A new mixed-use, urban style development featuring a Harris Teeter and LA Fitness gym in Gaithersburg, MD. The project includes two wood-framed, Type V-A, apartment buildings (Parcels A & B) with 550 rental apartments, 110,800 sf of retail, and 1,431 parking spaces. The buildings are built on concrete podiums with above-ground, pre-cast parking structures (500,000 sf) associated with each building.

The project was fast-tracked from design to construction with structural construction completed three months ahead of schedule. A rigorous shop drawing review process was proactively adopted, which effectively assisted both the general contractor and the owner to achieve their goals.
