Wheaton Revitalization Named Finalist for 2021 ULI Americas Awards

The 2021 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Americas Awards for Excellence finalists were recently announced and SK&A’s work on the Wheaton Revitalization Project was included as one of the 23 finalists across North and South America.  The Wheaton Revitalization Project transformed a parking lot and small three-story office building in Wheaton, Maryland into a new 308,000 sf 14-story, highly sustainable mixed-use office building with four-levels of public underground parking and outdoor space for the community.  Congratulations to project team members, Senior Principal, Scott Stewart, PE, SE, Project Manager, Kellie Farster, PE, LEED AP, CDT, and Project Engineer, Tobi Jewoola, EIT for their contributions on the project.    

The ULI Americas Awards for Excellence program represent the highest standards of achievement in the development industry for private, public, and nonprofit sectors.  The awards recognize the full development process of a project in a variety of product types including office, residential, retail, industrial, hotel, mixed-use, planned community, open space, and more.  The award winners will be announced in June 2021 and will become finalists in the 2021 ULI Global Awards for Excellence in October 2021.
