DC Water Headquarters Featured in Modern Steel Construction Magazine

March 1, 2018

SK&A’s work at the new DC Water Headquarters is a featured article in the March issue of Modern Steel Construction magazine.  Located at the edge of the Anacostia River in southeast Washington, DC, the new six-story, 150,000 sf steel-framed building has a curved footprint with five office levels and an accessible roof terrace.  The building’s façade is enveloped by full-height curtain walls on the south, east, and west for full panoramic views of the Anacostia River.

The featured article entitled, “Going With the Flow” is written by SK&A Principal, Scott Stewart, PE and Structural Engineer II, James Grant, EIT, CDT.  The article highlights the collaborative delivery approach of the project, which facilitated a fluid experience for a public works project in the heart of Washington, DC.
