In celebration of SK&A’s 60th Anniversary, we are challenging ourselves to participate in 60 different charitable activities, one for each year we have been in business, before the end of the year.

SK&A team members Hakan Onel, Daniel Cocciardi, and Sarah Stocks attended the topping out party for the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) new headquarters building in Alexandria, VA.

On Thursday, November 21, 2019, SK&A Associate Bing Rao, PE, along with Terry Pattillo, AIA from Woodworks/Wood Products Council were co-presenters on the topic of Mass Timber: Engineering Modern Timber Structures at the Urban Land Institute's HQ.

On Thursday, November 14, 2019, Justin Long, PE, RWC, BECxP, a project manager from our Repair & Restoration Division, conducted a facade evaluation at 2100 M Street, NW via rope access.

On May 11, 2019, SK&A team members attended the opening night at the new International Spy Museum at L’Enfant Plaza and were among the first to experience the museum’s new state-of-the-art exhibits and interactive installations.

SK&A's "Legs of Steel" team participated in the 11th Annual American Odyssey Relay, a 200-mile race from Gettysburg, PA to the Southwest Waterfront in Washington, DC. 

SK&A participated in Gingertown DC, an event coordinated by David M. Schwarz Architects where architects, engineers, and contractors in the DC area build a miniature town made of gingerbread and confections.
