Washington, DC

On Sunday May 7, 2017, SK&A Engineer, Katie Bevington lead “Team Steel” in the 20th annual 5K Race for Hope held in Washington, DC.  The 20-member team included SK&A Associate, Bing Rao along with other friends and family members.  Overall, Team Steel raised over $4,000 to benefit Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2) and the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).  The race in total raised over $1.6 million for ABC2 and NBTS to provide supplemental funds to patients who can’t afford their treatments and fund drug trials at medical research centers like NIH.  They also fund research to provide treatments that are less destructive to the patients and hope to eventually provide a cure.  Click here to learn more about the Race for Hope.
