October 11, 2021 - 8:30am to October 13, 2021 - 5:00pm
Minneapolis, MN

The International Concrete Repair Institute’s (ICRI) annual Fall Convention was held at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center from October 11-13, 2021.  This year’s theme focused on “Evaluation and Forensics – Despair to Repair,” featuring technical sessions, committee meetings, an exhibit hall, and other networking events.  The convention provided an opportunity for repair and restoration professionals of all levels to expand their understanding of concrete repair, protection, and restoration.

As representatives of ICRI's Baltimore-Washington Chapter, SK&A’s Repair & Restoration Division sent a team of four ICRI members to attend the convention.

  • David Rodler, a Senior Principal with SK&A, is a co-chair of the Evaluation Committee, an ICRI Fellow and a current member of ICRI's Publications and Guide Specifications Committees, and past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.  He also served two terms on the ICRI National Board of Directors, and the ICRI TAC Committee.
  • Charles Mitchell, Director of Testing and Inspection with SK&A, is a co-chair of a co-chair of the Evaluations Committee and current member of Committee 310 (Surface Preparation), Committee 320 (Concrete Repair Materials and Methods), and Committee 710 (Coatings and Waterproofing).
  • Horace Willis, a Senior Associate with SK&A, is a current member of the Guide Specifications Committee, Education Committee, and past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.
  • Ammar Motorwala, an Assistant Project Manager with SK&A, is a member of ICRI Committee 330 – Strengthening and Stabilization.
