ICRI 2014 Fall Convention

The International Concrete Repair Institute’s (ICRI) 2014 Fall Convention is an annual gathering for repair and restoration professionals from around the country to share their knowledge and experience with their peers.  This year’s convention focused on “Mega Projects” ranging from large stadium structures, to projects with extremely large scopes, such as an entire water system.  The ICRI is represented by various international, national, and local chapters dating back to 1988. 

As representatives of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter, SK&A's Repair & Restoration Division sent a team of four ICRI members including David Rodler, Charles Mitchell, Horace Willis, and Oscar Valenzuela to attend the convention.  SK&A Senior Principal, David Rodler is a current member of the ICRI Publications Committee, Secretary of the Evaluations Committee and Nominations Committee.  Charles Mitchell, Vice President of SK&A affiliate, Eastern Testing & Inspection (ETI), is a current member of Committee 150 (ICRI Notes on ACI 562 Code Requirements), Committee 310 (Surface Preparation), and Committee 710 (Coatings and Waterproofing).  Horace Willis, a Senior Associate with SK&A, is a past president of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter.  In addition, SK&A Project Manager, Oscar Valenzuela is a current advisory board member of the ICRI Baltimore-Washington Chapter and has served as a past president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.
