The Development Partners Golf Association (DPGA) aims to “help real estate development and building industry professionals foster better relationships through golf-related events” (dpgagolf.com). On June 26th, DPGA Summer League members enjoyed a 9-hole round at the Fox Hollow Golf Course in Timonium, Maryland.
It was on the 5th hole that SK&A Managing Principal, Scott Stewart, PE, SE, achieved a remarkable milestone—a hole-in-one. “After 30+ years of playing, that was my first,” Scott said. Chris Haslup of Whiting-Turner and Co-Director of DPGA, responded with enthusiasm, “Congratulations, Scott, and we expect at least two more before the season is out!”
Beyond the thrill of this major golfing achievement, Scott praised DPGA for its role in providing opportunities to not only sharpen his golf game, but also to connect with others in the building and development industry. He explained, “The time spent on the golf course, combined with the networking opportunities during the post-game happy hours, allow for genuine connections and relationship building. I am optimistic that the friendships initiated at these DPGA events will lead to long-lasting industry partnerships.”
Scott’s achievement is a testament to his dedication and passion for both the game of golf and fostering meaningful industry relationships. Here’s to more successes, both on and off the course!
