EOB Plaza Wins ICRI B/W Award for Outstanding Repair Project

SK&A is proud of our Repair Group team members, Horace Willis, Senior Associate, and Justin Long, PE, Assistant Project Manager for thier contributions to the Montgomery County Executive Office Building (EOB) Plaza Assessment and Renovations project, which recently won first place in the Outstanding Repair Project Awards from the Baltimore/Washington Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI).  SK&A’s Repair Group conducted a condition assessment as well as subsequent structural design services (including waterproofing and plaza envelope repair design) for the renovation of the EOB complex in Rockville, MD.

The ICRI Baltimore/Washington Chapter’s Outstanding Repair Project Award recognizes exceptional and innovative repair projects that present excellent structural, architectural and/or operational improvements and technical innovation.  Competing projects are judged on a number of criteria including, overall presentation of the project, innovative or difficult approach to making repairs, specialized materials or equipment required, and much more.  An awards presentation was held on November 2, 2017 in McLean, VA.
